May 7, 2010 – Six area high school students received
diplomas from the Oklahoma School of Science
and Mathematics during a commencement ceremony
Thursday evening held in honor of the graduates.
Michell Eike, Calculus professor, and Juliette Dalhed,
Physics professor, praised the group for their hard work and
dedication to the program, and expressed pride in the group
for all of their accomplishments throughout the year.
“We want everyone, especially the students, to know how
proud we are of this group,” Dalhed said. “They have
accomplished so much this year.”
Dr. Jack Herron, Outreach Coordinator for OSSM,
also spoke to the graduates and their families.
Herron spoke of the benefits these students will see
now and in the future from their time spent as
OSSM students. He also expressed his gratitude to the
administration, staff and faculty at Canadian Valley
for not only housing the regional center, but also
being a source of support for Dalhed, Eike,
and the OSSM students.
