|
The strengths of this program are a result of the years of experience that the isntructor has and the relationship that he has developed with industry. The layout of the laboratory and the purchase of new equipment gives students the opportunity to experience the equipment that is used in the carpentry and cabinetmaking industries and better prepare them for employment. This program has always been active in SkillsUSA at both the regional and state levels. The instructor holds NCCER instructor certification, which with the addition of the NCCER curriculum gives students additional recognition at the industry level through the national registry. The organization of the program is outstanding. Each student signs a contract that contains the requirements for completing the program. This contract give the studetns a clear picture of what they are required to complete while in the program and when the assignements are due. |
